3.7 KVC Hot Gas Bypass Capacity Regulator
KVC hot gas bypass capacity regula-
tor valve is used to adapt compress
or
capacity to actual evaporator load by
supplying a replacement capacity in
the form of hot/cool gas. They are
installed in a bypass line between the
high and low-pressure sides of the
refrigeration system and are designed
for direct gas injection into the
suction line.

(a)
Turn on-unit in road mode setting
up compartment temperatures to
−2
0°C (−4°F ) and 0°C (32°F ).
(b)
Connect low pressure gauge to
suction line by LP service port.
(c)
Wait that unit stops reaching
cold-room set point temperatures
