Unscrew valve plate in a diametrically opposite
sequence.
(c)
Remove valve plate (pos. 4).
(d)
Clean plate cover (pos. 2) and cylinder block from gaskets and oil residuals.
CAUT
ION
!
Don’t let any residues fall into compressor.
(e)
Place new valve plate (pos. 4) in position.
CAUTION
!
Compressor conversion changing valve plate type is not possible.
CAUTION
!
Lubricate lower valve plate gasket (pos. 5).
CAUTION
!
Take care of every part orientation and positioning.
(f)
Screw valve plate in a diamet- rically opposite
sequence.
CAUT
ION
!
Tightening torque: 60N m (531lb − in).
(g)
Turn compressor shaft a few turn by hand, than
carry out a leak test.

Reinstall compressor follow- ing replacement
procedu
