2.12 HAL 100 halogen illuminator
2.12.1 Change / attachment of the HAL
100 halogen lamp
• Switch off the microscope, remove connector
(2-27/4) from the 12 V / 100 W socket (2-27/5)
and allow the illuminator to cool down for
approx. 15 minutes.
• Loosen screw (2-25/5) until the lamp housing
can be removed in an upward direction.
• Press both spring levers (2-25/3) downwards
and pull out the old halogen lamp in an upward
direction.
• Press both spring levers downwards, insert new
lamp (2-25/2) with protection cap (2-25/1) in
lamp base (2-25/4), let go the spring lever and
pull off the protection cap.
• Press spring lever briefly downwards again to
center the lamp.
• Attach lamp housing again and tighten
clamping screw (2-25/5).

After the lamp change, the halogen
illuminator must be realigned.
