13. Remove bolts (x2) securing the throttle’s rear
cover to the front cover. Tool: Tamperproof
T25
14. Carefully remove the throttle’s rear cover from
the throttle assembly.
Note: If you’re attempting to keep the throttle
spring from being sprung, do not remove the
throttle’s front cover.
15. Slide the throttle and grip off the end of the
handlebar.
16. Carefully remove throttle assembly from the
throttle assembly cover.
Note: Take note of the position of the spring
on the cover and how the grip assembly
interlocks with the throttle assembly
Installation
1. Installation is the reverse of the removal
procedure, but follow the proceeding steps to
install the throttle spring.
2. Insert throttle spring tang into the hole in the
throttle mechanism.
