8. Unclip harness retaining clip.
9. Pull key switch harness out from under the
HCU bracket.
10. Disconnect key switch wiring harness
connector.
Note: Take note of harness routing for
installation process.
11. Remove bolts (x2) securing key switch to the
motorcycle frame.
Note: Use a bolt extractor to extract the
breakaway bolts.
Note: Replace break away bolts (x2) during the
installation process.
12. Remove key switch.
Installation
1. Installation is the reverse of the removal
procedure.
2. Perform the key programming procedure to
program the keys to the motorcycle. See Key
Programming, page 10.8.
