REPLACING THE FUEL FILTER
ELEMENT
Before replacing the fuel filter
element place a suitable con-
tainer under the engine to collect
dripping fuel from the filter.
1. Release the nut (1).
2. Unscrew the bowl (2).
3. Clean the bowl and replace the filter
element.
4. Check proper seating of the bowl
sealing.
5. Replace the bowl.
6. Bleed the fuel system.
BLEEDING THE FUEL SYSTEM
Before bleeding place a suitable
container under the engine to col-
lect dripping fuel from the filter
and injection pump.
1. Prime the fuel system with several
strokes of the manual control of the
priming pump (1).
2. Release the screw (2) of the fitting
of the fuel inlet to the filter and let
the foam escape.
3. Retighten the screw and repeat the
procedure until after releasing of the
screw clear fuel start to continuously
flow from the filter.
4. Bleed the injection pump in the
same way.
5. Do the bleeding with the screw (3)
positioned on the pump body.
