CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL IN THE
HYDROSTATIC STEERING TANK
Check the oil level daily before starting
work with the tractor in the horizontal po-
sition. Open the hood. Unscrew the dip-
stick, wipe it with a piece of cloth and
screw it back in. After repeated removal
of the dipstick the oil level must not drop
below the lower mark. Replenish oil as
necessary after removing the tank cap.

REPLACING OIL AND THE FILTER
ELEMENT OF HYDROSTATIC
STEERING
1. Place a suitable container under
the hydrostatic steering tank.
2. Unscrew the drain screw in the tank
bottom.
3. Drain oil.
4. Unscrew the nut of the tank cap.
5. Remove the cap of the hydrostatic
steering tank.
6. Remove and replace the filter element.
7. Put the tank cap back.

9. Tighten the drain screw.
10. Disconnect both the hoses
from the working cylinder and
the return pipe from the tank
(place a suitable container under the
working cylinder hoses and the return
pipe to collect old oil).
11. Start the engine and at the idle speed
(max. 10 s) turn the steering wheel
2-3 times to both sides to push oil out
of the steering unit and the pipes.
12. Secure the tractor against movement
and lift the front axle.
13. Place an oil collection con-

wheels (by hand) push oil out
of the working cylinder.
14. Reassemble all the disconnected
joints.
15. Fill the tank with oil and bleed the hy-
drostatic steering circuit.
