Removing, SMB unit
Use this procedure to remove the SMB unit.
NoteAction
Move the robot to the calibration position.1
DANGER
Turn off all:
• electric power supply
• hydraulic pressure supply
• air pressure supply
to the robot, before entering the robot working area.

Remove the SMB cover by unscrewing its attachment
screws.

Remove the connectors X8, X9 and X10 from the
brake release board, if need of more space.

Remove the nuts and washers from the pins that se-
cure the board.

Connectors R1.SMB1-3,
R1.SMB4-6 and R2.SMB
Gently disconnect the connectors from the SMB unit
when pulling the board out.

Disconnect the battery cable from the SMB unit.8
Refitting, SMB unit
Use this procedure to refit the SMB unit.
