If the O-ring gasket is seated incorrectly or damaged,
this may have an adverse effect on the housing
protection class.
Follow the instructions in Opening and closing the
housing on page 22 to open and close the housing safely.
NOTICE
Observe the following points when connecting to an electrical
supply:
• Lead the power supply cable into the housing through the
top cable entry.
• Lead the cables for signal inputs and signal outputs into
the housing through the middle and, where necessary,
bottom cable entries.
• Connect the cables in accordance with the electrical
connection. If present, connect the cable shielding to the
earthing clamp provided.
• Use wire end ferrules when connecting.
• After connecting the power supply to the dual-
compartment housing, terminal cover 2 must be
installed.
• Close unused cable entries using suited plugs.
