The figures illustrating the characteristic for the distance protection function can be used
when the load encroachment affects the zone characteristic and when it is not. The solid
lines designate the diagram applicable when the load encroachment is overlapping with
the zone. All the test points except 13 are valid for this case. When the load
encroachment does not overlap with the zone, the dotted lines and test point 13 are
valid. Test points 5, 6, and 7 are not valid for this measurement however.
