Remarks:
Diagnosis: The diagnosis telegramms of the PROFIBUS DP slaves start with additional 2 bytes
that concern the number of diagnosis bytes and status of the slave.
Confi guration: Modern fi eldbuses such as PROFIBUS DP-V0,-V1 and DeviceNet fi x the confi guration
data using the appropriate confi guration fi les (e.g. "xxx.GSD", "xxx.EDS") and write it
automatically into the FieldBusPlug during power up.
Most of the FieldBusPlug types compare the confi guration data sent by the UMC22
with the confi guration data received from the fi eldbus. When the result of the compari-
son is ok, parameters can be downloaded and the operation can start.
The confi guration data set contains the product code, UMC22: 0x2AFB = 11003.
Additional to the above named data the FieldBusPlug - only the FieldBus-Plug, not
the UMC22 - can send on request identifi cation data such as vendor name, slave
address and data baud rate as defi ned in the appropriate fi eldbus standard.
Parameters: Depending on the fi eldbus type the parameters can be
- written as one parameter block - only complete block - (e.g. PROFIBUS DP-V0) or
- written and read as single parameters (e.g. PROFIBUS DP-V1, DeviceNet).
The three service parameters Operation hours, Number of starts and Number of trips
can be read only.
