11 Dismounting TCS-Compact
10.3 Wire cutting device
11 Dismounting
Dismounting may only be carried out by specialized personnel. Please make sure that the shutdown
procedures are strictly observed before the dismounting is started. Make sure to include also the
components integrated into the welding system.
12 Disposal
For the maintenance station TCS-Compact to be properly disposed of, it first must be dismounted. For
disposal, observe the local regulations, laws, provisions, standards and guidelines.

12.1 Materials
This product is mainly made of metallic materials which can be melted in steel and iron works and are, thus,
almost infinitely recyclable. The plastic materials used are marked in preparation for sorting and separation
of the materials for later recycling.
Fault Cause Solution
No cutting function Compressed air-supply / hose connection
interrupted
Directional valve Y3 does not switch
Check all supply lines leading to the cylinder
and the fittings
Check signal output of robot control
Replace directional valve Y3.
Insufficient cutting capacity Too low working pressure
Rough-running slide
Worn cutting edge
Check the adjustment of the pressure regulator:
min. 5 bar/max. 8 bar
Dismount movable parts, clean and lubricate
them
Clean more often
Change approach position P4
Change the cutter
Free wire end is bent The wire has no contact to the fixed jaws
Counter support jammed
Correct the approach position of the welding
torch
Dismount movable parts, clean and oil them
Tighten the mounting screws

DANGER
Risk of injury due to unexpected start-up.
For the entire duration of maintenance, servicing, dismounting and repair work, the following instructions
must be adhered to:
Switch off the power supply.
Close off the compressed air supply.
