About the Purged Packed Column Inlet
This inlet is used with packed columns when high-efficiency
separations are not required. It can also be used with wide-bore
capillary columns, if flows greater than 10 mL/min are
acceptable.
The inlet is flow controlled, regardless or whether or not the
column is capillary and defined, or packed.
