Chapter 8 Email/Text
The first word in the email subject is the device name. If a device name is not
configured, then the product name attribute from the identity object is used.
Email Configuration
To be able to send an email, the IP address of the host name of a Simple Mail
Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server must be configured and notifications must
be selected. Follow these steps to configure an email notification.
1. In the web browser, type the IP address of the EtherNet/IP
communication auxiliary module in the address bar, then press the enter
key on the keyboard.
2. Select Administrative Settings Email Configuration. A login window
appears.
3. Log in with the username “Administrator”, leave the password field
blank, and click OK.
