larger pumps, the drive shaft (118)
can also be pulled through the
bearings (104) and (103) and into
the bearing bracket (110) using a
tool consisting of a guide sleeve,
draw-in sleeve, threaded pin with
washer, and nut.
This tool can be obtained from us.

3. Use a hook wrench to turn a self-
locking bearing nut (116) onto the
drive shaft (118) and tighten securely.
When the bearing nut seats, retighten
it approximately 1/16 of a revolution.
Notice!
Replace the bearing nut after
loosening and tightening it
approximately five times in order to
preserve its self-locking
characteristics.
When a pump is installed
horizontally, rotate the bearing
cover (131) with seal (132) before
installation so the grease outlet
hole in the bearing bracket (110) is
sealed.
Notice!
When a pump is installed vertically
with the bearing on top, rotate the
bearing cover (131) with seal (132)
before installation so that the
grease outlet hole in the bearing
bracket (110) is congruent with the
recess in the bearing cover (131)
and seal (132).
4. Use the hexagon screws (139) to
fasten the bearing cover (131) with
seal (132) to the bearing bracket (110).
5. Insert key (101) into the drive shaft
(118) and secure on the face side with
two prick punches.
10.2.4 Installing the rotor and rotor-
side joint
For the positions of referenced parts
sectional drawings on pages 43, 44, 45, 46,
47, 48, and 49.
1. Use a brass punch to drive the bushes
for the joint pin (303) halfway into the
rotor (401).
2. Press the joint pin (302) into the joint
shaft (307) as follows:
Caution!
The longitudinal axis of the oval
hole (marked with two cuts) must
align with the longitudinal axis of
the joint shaft, and the joint bush
must protrude uniformly from both
sides of the joint shaft (see image
below).
Joint bush (302) not present on:
• AE1L 51 / AE1L 101
• AE1E 50 / AE2E 50
• AE1N 25 / AE2N 25 / AE4N 25
• AED1E 75
• AED2N 38
• AE4H 12
