13. When finished the needle
should be removed from the product package and placed in
the needle holder
on the side of device.
Daily Shut-down
At the end of the working day you have various options to shut the device down:
Switch device off Simply switch off the main switch on the backside of the
device.
Set the device to Standby mode Select Standby from the Main menu.
The device switches into Standby mode.
If a time has been set for Sleep mode in “General setup
(see page 37) the device will automatically switch from
Standby mode to Sleep mode when set time is
reached.
Set the device to Sleep mode Select Sleep from the Main menu.
The device switches into Sleep mode.

Error messages
Four types of error messages may occur in CheckMate 3:
Information
Warnings
•System error
•System failure
In case of an error an error number and an error message for identification of the error is
displayed.
The error must be acknowledged by pressing .
The error number may be reported to a Service Technician to correct any errors.
A list of the most recent errors is available from the Diagnostics menu - see "Diagnostic menu"
on page 36 for details.
