Communication
This menu option allows you to define RS-485 communications param-
eters between the Series 2000 control unit and a host device. This includes
the following:
Baud Rate
This parameter allows you to define the baud rate that the control unit
and the host computer are using to communicate. Choices are 300,
600, 1200, 2400, 4800, and 9600 baud.
Node Address
This parameter allows you to define the physical address for the con-
trol unit (between 0 and 255) on a network so the host computer can
identify the control unit if using network communications (see below).
Note that each control unit must be assigned a unique address; other-
wise, communication results will be unpredictable.
Enable Serial
This option allows you to temporarily disable control unit serial com-
munications.
