4.1.1 Des crip ti on
With the ACE sys tem

com pres si on checks. For this, the soil ri gi di ty is determined.
An in te gra ted sen sor mea su res the re ac ti on of the ground to the
vi bra ting base pla te. An LED dis play wit hin the ope ra tor's ran ge
of vi si on con ti nu al ly shows the mea su re ment va lue.
This in spec ti on ca pa bi li ty pro vi des the user with se ve ral ad van ta -
ges, for ex am ple
• Always check whether compression progress is being
made and whether the final density has been reached.
• Fla wed are as in the com pres si on can be found and
re com pac ted.
• Over-com pres si on, and ma te ri al loo se ning and de struc ti on
can be pre ven ted.
• Superfluous passes or vibrating on surfaces already
compacted are avoided. That means more efficient,
sparing use of the machine.

4.1.2 Func ti on
The ACE sys tem con sists of a con trol/dis play pa nel, and an ac -
ce ler ati on sen sor on the base plate.
DThe integrated sensor converts acceleration of the base plate
to voltage signals. These are transmitted to the controls. There
the compression parameters are calculated and shown visually
on the control/display panel.
4.1.3 Ope ra ti on
The ACE sys tem is espe ci al ly suit ab le for loo se ground with litt le
fine ma te ri al.
The de gree and qua li ty of com pres si on de pend on the exi sting
soil con di tions. If, de spi te an ade qua te num ber of pas ses, the
ma xi mum de gree of com pres si on is not shown, check the soil for
its sui ta bi li ty for com pres si on and, if ne ces sa ry take mea su res to
im pro ve com pres si on. Due to va ry ing soil ri gi di ty, the ma xi mum
value cannot be achieved in every case.
