Addition of
chemicals
Before addition of chemicals the following parameters have to be fulfilled.
• pulp level in standpipe >20%
• engine on
• current consumption: no load current + 20%
• valve after pump open
• valve position >10% open
2.17 ATEX directive
Stock The Medium-consistency pump is not designed to pump combustible
liquids.
--> If combustible liquids as solvents, petrol, alcohol....or installing the
pump in an explosive area is planned, this first has to be conferred with
Andritz AG. Low flash points of combustible liquids may cause danger of
fire and explosion.
Zone arrangement The Medium-consistency pump is not designed for the operation in
explosive areas, which means that the intended operation of the
Medium-consistency pump is
outside of areas according to the directive
1999/92/EG (gases/steam respectively dust).
