7.8 Centrifugal pump
7.8.1 Removing and installing the centrifugal pump
Preparations The following parts must be prepared before starting to disassemble the
centrifugal pump:
• Tools
• Lifting gear
• Belts, ropes
• Replacement parts
The machine must be thoroughly cleaned before carrying out any
maintenance work.
Complete the following work before starting to remove the unit itself:
Step Activity
1 Empty stand pipe or close inlet gate.
2 Switch off pump and secure against being switched on again.
3 Close delivery gate.
4 Remove coupling guard.(Abb. 7-2)
5 Remove the coupling piece (Fig. 7-4) after detaching the
screws.
6 Detach sealing water connections.
7 Remove drain connection degassing line incl. degassing
control valve by dismounting (901.10, 920.10, 554.10)
