3.8 Technological description
Centrifugal pump The medium-consistency pulp supplied from the fluidizer reaches the inlet
section of the centrifugal pump impeller.
In the impeller the stock undergoes radial acceleration due to the rotation
energy and the shape of the blades, thus taking on velocity energy. In the
spiral casing the speed energy is converted into pressure energy. The
pulp then enters the delivery pipe, which is connected to the outlet flange.
