5START-UP
5.1 General
Initial start-up of the medium-consistency pump shall be prepared and
carried out by the Contractor or by ANDRITZ AG personnel. Start-up
takes place in accordance with the start-up sequence plan and ANDRITZ
AG's start-up routines.
5.2 Safety regulations
General safety

Start-up shall be supervised by ANDRITZ AG's start-up manager or by the
buyer.
All applicable accident prevention rules must be observed.
Qualification of
personnel
assigned
Start-up may only be carried out by skilled workers with the appropriate
training.
Personal
protective apparel
The following protective equipment must be worn when carrying out
start-up and erection work:
• Hard hat
• Protective shoes
• Goggles
• Gloves must be worn when handling aggressive media (oil, cleaning
agent, chemicals, lubricants, white water, etc.).
During start-up, practical training will also be provided on the machine.
Participants must receive instruction on the theory beforehand.
DANGER
Disregarding the safety regulations may cause a risk to life and limb.
If safety regulations are disregarded, this may cause a risk to life
and limb and damage to the machine or its components.
All safety instructions in this section must be strictly observed.
