6.8 Shutdown
Automatic
shutdown
When using the group stop, all necessary steps are carried out
automatically by the DCS.
Manual shutdown Carry out the following steps for manual shutdown:
• Shut the chemical inlet branch
• Close degassing line
• Stop stock feed to stand pipe.
• Close the valve in the delivery pipe
• Shut down pump
• Shut down sealing water valve
WARNING
If there is a danger of the pump liquid freezing, the pump and pipes
should be emptied!
DANGER
Before longer downtime (>24h) the standpipe has to be thoroughly
flushed with water to prevent the creation of biogas.
Shut the chemical inlet branch before flushing.
Shutdown according to Ch. 6.8
