1-3 Recommended Test Equipment
The following test equipment is recommended for use in testing and maintaining Anritsu Models MS2722C,
MS2723C, MS2724C, MS2725C, and MS2726C.
• Table 1-1 is a list of test equipment that is required for verifying the spectrum analyzer functions on
Models MS2722C, MS2723C, and MS2724C.
• Table 1-2 is a list of test equipment that is required for verifying the spectrum analyzer functions on
Models MS2725C, and MS2726C.
• Table 1-3 is a list of test equipment that is required for verifying the functions of installed options on any
MS272xC Model.
• Table 1-4 is a list of replaceable parts for the MS272xC Spectrum Master.
a. Note that MG3692A models require Option 15 to achieve power of +16 dBm at 3.5 GHz. MG3692B models do not require

Caution
Factory tests have shown that the equipment that is listed above will provide satisfactory results at
20 GHz (the upper limit of the MS2724C) even though the chart above specifies 18 GHz
(per manufacturers specifications). Many Type N cables have excessive loss for testing the
spectrum analyzer section of the instrument up to 20 GHz. An SMA cable or K cable should
therefore be installed on the MG synthesizer for all spectrum analyzer tests on the MS2724C.
