7. Set the power meter to display Channel B. Press the Sensor key, the Cal Factor submenu key, and then
the Freq submenu key. Use the keypad to enter the value matching the frequency of MG3692x or
MG3695C as the input signal frequency, which sets the power meter to the proper power sensor
calibration factor. Press the System key to display the power reading.
8. Adjust the MG3692x or MG3695C output power so that the power meter displays a reading that matches
the Sensor B reading for –30 dBm in Table A-11.
9. On the MS272xC, press the Amplitude main menu key, then set the Reference Level to –20 dBm.
10. Press the Freq main menu key and press the Center Freq submenu key.
11. Enter 10.1 MHz (or the next frequency).
12. Press the Amplitude main menu key, then set the Atten Lvl to 0dB.
13. Press the Marker main menu key and press the Peak Search submenu key.
14. Record the Marker 1 amplitude reading (in units of dBm) into Table A-12.
15. Verify that the Marker 1 amplitude reading is within the specification.
16. Repeat Step 12 through Step 14 for Attenuation Levels of 5dB, 10 dB, and 20 dB.
17. Adjust the MG3692x or MG3695C output power so that the power meter displays a reading that matches
the Sensor B reading for –2 dBm or –5 dBm in Table A-11.
18. On the MS272xC, press the Amplitude main menu key, then set the Reference Level to 10 dBm.
19. Repeat Step 12 through Step 14 for Attenuation Levels of 30 dB, 40 dB, 50 dB, and 60 dB
.
20. Repeat Step 5 through Step 19. Set the MG3692x or MG3695C frequency to each of the frequencies in
Table A-13, “Verification at 100 MHz, Specification = ± 1.3 dB” on page A-8 through Table A-58,
“Verification at 40.0 GHz, Specification = ± 2.3 dB” on page A-31.
21. Stop at the applicable frequency for the model under test as listed below:
• 8999.995 MHz for MS2722C (Table A-23)
• 12999.995 MHz for MS2723C (Table A-28)
• 18000.000 MHz for MS2724C (Table A-36)
• 31999.995 MHz for MS2725C (Table A-49)
• 40000.000 MHz for MS2726C (Table A-58)
