Chapter 3 — Options Verification 3-9 Option 66 and/or Option 67, Mobile WiMAX Signal Analyzer
MS272xC MM PN: 10580-00279 Rev. E 3-37
6. Calculate the Channel Power Error by subtracting the “MS272xC reading” from the “Power Meter
Reading” in Step 2. Record the result into Table A-118.
7. Verify that the error is within specification.
8. Adjust the MG3700A Level setting to approximately –33 dBm so that the power meter reads
–50.0 dBm ± 0.2 dB, and record the actual value as shown on the power meter into Table A-119,
“Option 66, Mobile WiMAX Channel Power Accuracy Power Error (2600.5 MHz and –50.0 dBm)”
on page A-51.
9. Record the “MS272xC Reading”, the displayed Channel Power (RSSI) value, into Table A-119.
10. Calculate the Channel Power Error by subtracting the “MS272xC Reading” of Channel Power (RSSI)
from the “Power Meter Reading” in Step 8. Record the “Calculated Channel Power Error” into
Table A-119.
11. Verify that the error is within specification.
12. Set the calibration factor frequency of the power sensor to 3600.5 MHz.
13. Set MG3700A Frequency to 3600.5 MHz.
14. Change the Center Frequency of MS272xC to 3600.5 MHz.
15. Measure the Channel Power (RSSI) for both –15 dBm and –50 dBm, and then record the measured
results and calculated errors into Table A-120, “Option 66, Mobile WiMAX Channel Power Accuracy
Power Error (3600.5 MHz and –15.0 dBm)” on page A-51 and Table A-121, “Option 66, Mobile WiMAX
Channel Power Accuracy Power Error (3600.5 MHz and –50.0 dBm)” on page A-51.
16. Verify that the errors are within specification.
