3.3 Active Bus Power Supply
An active room bus is powered by the NUDL-series dome lights. These devices provide the
modules on the active room bus with 5.5VDC power. The active bus shall not exceed
30m (100ft). The lowest acceptable voltage at any point on the active bus shall be no less
than 4.3VDC.
3.4 Passive Room Bus Power Supply
A passive room bus is powered by the NUPBC. The NUPBC provides the passive modules
on the passive bus with 5.5VDC power. When legacy teleCARE M modules are used,
power the NUPBC via an external 24VDC power supply.
NU-series (5.5V) modules cannot by used in conjunction with legacy teleCARE M modules
(24VDC) on the same NUPBC. Connecting an NU-series module to 24VDC power will
cause irreparably damage the module.
