6 Hallway Devices
This Chapter elaborates on the hallway devices.
This section describes the installation instructions for the following products:
• “NUDL-Series Dome Light” (details on page 57)
• “NUPBC Passive Bus Concentrator” (details on page 62)
6.1 Preparation
It is important to refer to the following hallway device installation instructions for
complete electrical connection and assembly details before starting the installation.
The hallway devices have an IP40 ingress protection. The areas in which the devices are to
be installed must be clean, dry, and weatherproof. The walls on which the hallway devices
are to be installed should be finished (painted, wall papered etc.) before the hallway
devices are installed.
It is important to have the appropriate length of free cable pulled out at every location
where the hallway device is to be installed. The length of stripped cable and the length of
exposed copper wire shall conform to the installation instructions in the manual.
