5.1.1 Precautions
– Before proceeding with any type of maintenance
and repair related to electrical components, please
take all the necessary precautions to avoid
accidentally starting the battery set. Remove
copper bar in DC cubicle:
• Move switch S31 (1) to position I.
• Remove DC cubicle cover (2).
• Remove copper bar in the negative bus bar (3).
• Once the copper bar is removed, change
switch S31 (1) to position 0.
– Do not carry out any change or modification to
any part of the battery set or its electric system.
– Do not carry out any maintenance when the
battery set is running.
Once the job is finished, re-install again copper bar in
DC cubicle:
– Change S31 switch (1) to position I.
– Install again copper bar (3).
– Assemble DC cubicle cover.
– Change S31 switch (1) to position 0.
5.1.2 Use of maintenance schedule
Regular maintenance is essential for the optimum
performance, safe operation and a longer working life
of the machine.
The maintenance schedule contains a summary of the
maintenance instructions. Read the respective section
before taking maintenance measures.
5.1.3 Use of service packs
Service Packs include all genuine parts needed for
normal maintenance of battery set. Service Packs
minimize downtime and keep your maintenance
budget low.
The order number of the Service Packs are listed in
the Atlas Copco Parts list (ASL). Order Service Packs
at your local Atlas Copco dealer.
5.1.4 Best practices
In normal use, try to reach 100% of SOC when
charging the battery set with generator or mains.
Charge and maintain the battery set at 100% of SOC
for 48h using parking mode in a monthly basis. This
will help to maintain a good battery voltage balance
in the battery set. During this charge, battery voltage
should reach 56 V.
After removing the copper bar (3)
there is still battery voltage between
positive and negative bus bar. Be
careful when working in DC cubicle
and use insulated tools.
