5.2.1.2 Battery replacement
– Move switch S31 (1) to position I.
– Remove DC cubicle cover (2).
– Remove copper bar in the negative bus bar (3).
– Once the copper bar is removed, change switch
S31 (1) to position 0.
– Disconnect and remove the battery that needs to
be replaced.
– Check the voltage of all batteries with Victron-
Connect app. See “Checking battery status” on
page 46 for more information.
– The batteries are approximately 50% charged
when shipped. Charge the new battery at the same
voltage as the other batteries using Blue Smart
charger 12V/15A. This charger is available as an
accessory with pn 1636304452 (CEE 7/16 plug).
– Connect first the charger to the battery. It will
detect voltage and polarity of the battery. Connect
the charger to the utility afterwards. All charge
status LEDs will flash in case of reverse polarity
connection or short-circuit.
– Select LI-ION by pressing Mode button in the
charger or using VictronConnect app.
– Once the voltage of new battery is the same as
other batteries disconnect the battery charger and
install the battery in the battery set.
Apply 20Nm torque to battery terminals.
– Change S31 switch (1) to position I.
– Install again copper bar (3).
– Assemble DC cubicle cover.
– Change S31 switch (1) to position 0.
– Carry out a slow charging in parking mode until
all batteries are fully charged.
5.2.2 Cooling system
5.2.2.1 Air filters replacement
– Remove screws and take out cover of air filter box
(1).
– Replace the filter element (2) by a new one.
– Install again the air filter cover and tighten the
screws.
Never charge the battery if its tem-
perature is below 5°C. Battery tem-
perature can be checked using
VictronConnect app.
