VIRTUAL DIP SWITCH
Ending the program
Once the settings are to your liking, and have been written to the
console, and saved to a file if desired, the VDip program can be ended by
selecting “Exit” from the “File” menu. The console settings will remain as
you have set them until the next time the VDip program is run. You can
remove the computer connection or leave it hooked up, as you desire. Note
that if you leave the connection to the computer in place, you should set the
LOC/REM switch on the CRD-70 module to “local” in case some other
program on the computer tries to write to the COM port. It is unlikely that
a stray message sent out the COM port will cause any changes because it
will be ignored unless it is sent in the precise D-70 serial protocol, but
simply switching the console to “local” provides extra insurance.
