2.2.4 Design versions
The ALS 450 labeller is available in 2 different versions,
depending on the direction of the conveyor line:
Right-hand version
The products are conveyed from left to right [8].
The dispensing edge is located on the right side.
Left-hand version
The products are conveyed from right to left [9].
The dispensing edge is located on the left side.
Labeller operation is described in these instruc-
tions based on the right-hand design version. In
general, the labeller ALS 350 (without dancer
arm on the unwind unit) is depicted in the illus-
trations. The left-hand version and the ALS 450
are only considered if their descriptions or illus-
trations differ significantly.
