teries, which will require a fairly short period of me if there is no addional drain occurring during the recharging
me. If this does not work, it may be possible that the baery or baeries are nearing their terminal life span.
Another alarm sounds.
These occur when a sensor detects that the engine or transmission temperature range or oil pressure
range have exceeded programmed limits. The boats main system may begin shung o peripheral
acvity to retain proper operaon as long as possible. It is usually in the operaonal best interest to
return to shore as soon as possible to avoid being stranded. Even if the ranges return to acceptable
operang range, this maer should be shared with the service department of your authorized Axis
dealer to determine the cause and avoid a repeat.
BILGE
AND BALLAST
The bilge pumps are not operang.
The bilge pump(s) should operate automacally. If it does not, use the manual switch. If it sll does
not operate, return to shore IMMEDIATELY and terminate the oung. Failure to pump water out of the
bilge can result in the boat swamping and sinking. This could result in serious injury or death to those
on-board.
The ballast pump is not operang.
If the ballast pump does not pump water into the system, and having veried that the electrical sys-
tem is operaonal, leave the pump OFF and have it serviced by an authorized Axis dealer. If the pump
does not pump water out of the system, seek assistance by calling your Axis dealer. You should never
aempt to trailer your boat with water in the ballast system as it could cause damage to the trailer,
which can result in the driver losing control while towing. Such acvity could result in serious injury or
death to anyone in the area.
Addional informaon on the Bilge and Ballast systems can be found in How It Works and Care and
Maintenance secons of this Owners Manual.
BLOWER
SYSTEM
The blower is not working.
Never operate the boat without the blower system operang correctly! Accumulang fumes that are
not released through the blower system can result in an explosion or other serious accident that could
result in death to those on-board. If the blower ceases to work properly while boang is underway,
terminate the oung IMMEDIATELY and return to shore with the engine compartment covers open.
If there is an odor of fuel or exhaust present, turn OFF the engine IMMEDIATELY and seek a tow to
shore. See the Safety secon of this Owners Manual; addional details are also available in the How
It Works and Care and Maintenance secons, as well.
STEERING
SYSTEM
The boat’s steering is responding poorly.
Anyme the steering does not respond crisply to turns by the steering wheel, disconnue the oung
and return to shore as soon as possible. The steering components are, generally, inaccessible to boat
operators and owners. Repairs should be completed by an authorized Axis dealer.
