The raw-water intake brings water out of the lake or river for
cooling circulaon in the engine. (It is circulated and returned to
the body of water via the exhaust system.)
Both the paddlewheel and raw-water intake/sea strainer must
ALWAYS be free of debris. Any boang that takes place in brackish
water or water with ora, should be interrupted periodically to be
certain that no weeds have become tangled with anything under
the hull. See the Care and Maintenance secon in this Owners
Manual for informaon on how to properly remove debris from
the raw-water intake/sea strainer.
Debris in the body of
water, including naturally
occurring vegetation, can become entwined with the
components under the hull. This can result in damage to the
boat, particularly if the debris interferes with the raw water intake, starving the drive train
of necessary cooling water. Such damage is not covered under warranty.
Models: The paddlewheels are standard on all Axis models, and GPS is oponal. All else is standard.
The swim plaorm provides addional enjoyment of the Axis experience. While the swim plaorm,
along with the oponal under-swim plaorm ladder, can ease movement in and out of the water, Axis
reminds users to exercise cauon. When jumping o the boat, always be absolutely certain that there is
sucient depth. Appearances can be decepve, especially in clear water. When using the ladders, use
the steps with care to avoid slipping or falling. Although the swim plaorm is constructed with an-skid
properes, it is sll the responsibility of users to use care when walking on it, using it to get on-board, using
it to get into the cockpit, standing or sing on the swim plaorm.
As noted mulple mes throughout this Owners Manual, never allow anyone to be on the swim
plaorm or ladder when the engine is running due to exhaust fumes.
Never allow anyone to be on the swim platform or ladder when
the engine is running, even at idle. Exhaust fumes can quickly
overcome individuals, leading to serious injury or death. More
information is available in the Safety section of this Owner’s
Manual.
Addional informaon regarding the roune maintenance of the swim plaorm is available in the Care
and Maintenance secon of this Owner’s Manual.
Models: All Axis boats are equipped with a swim plaorm. Under-swim plaorm ladders are oponal on
all models.
