maneuverabilityofthetowingboat.
• Ifpossible,useabridle.
• Moveslowlytopreventsuddenstrainonslackline.
• Proceedatslowspeed.
• Avoidabruptchangesinthroleasthatmaycausethetowlinetoslackenandjerkght.Suddenstrain
orjerkingthelinecausesexcessivetowlineforceswhichmayparttheline.Keepslackoutofthetow
line,butifitoccursproceedslowlytoagaintakeupthestrainonthelineandavoidsuddenjerksinthe
line.
