6. Setup process of a X8 rental display
6.1 Set up a floor mount X8 rental display
WARNING: Floor mount (base stand) configuration can only be used indoor and must be equipped w ith a
stacker support system at the rear of the display.
WARNING: The maximum height of a base stand X8 rental d isplay is 3 tiles high.
For some applications it is not allowe d that the foot beams stick out in front of the LED-wall. The illustra tions
below shows the possibility to built up the X8 rental display a t the front of the foot beams. Note that such
aconfiguration always requires extra ballast upon the other end of the foot beams to ensure the stability of
the whole L E D-wall. Nevertheless, lot of applications allow to build up the LED- wall in the m iddle of the foot
beams. This con figuration requires less or no ballast u pon the foot beams. Consult the “Ballast calculator”
on the secured Ba rco web site.
Setup process
1. The first stage in the process is the assembling of a solid and level foot construction, which has to support the hole display. Such
a construction consist of foot beams, adjustable feet (optional), and rental feet. Finally, ballast has to be placed upon the foot
beams to prevent the wall from possible tipping (or sliding). The assembling of the foot construction has to be done in following
sequence:
a) Installation of the adjustable feet on the foot beams. Note that this is optional. See procedure "Installing an adjustable foot",
page 40 for detailed installation instructions.
b) Installation of the rental feet upon the foot beams. See procedure "Installing the X8 rental feet", page 41.
c) Attach the foot beams to the ground with fixings and/or place the necessary ballast upon the foot beams. Ensure that the
foot beams are supported every 50 centimeters. This to prevent that the beam bends. Note that the ballast has to be placed
between the end and the last 30 cm of the foot beam. Consult the “
Ballast calculator” on the Barco web site.
Tip: Place rubber mats between the foot beam s of the LED wall and the smooth surface to increase f riction. this will reduce
the ballast required to prevent sliding.

2. The second stage in the process is the installation of the X8 rental tiles upon the rental feet. See detailed procedure "Installing
the X8 rental tile upon the X8 rental foot", page 43 and "Installing the X8 rental tile", page 45.
Warning: The m axim um height of a base stand X8 rental disp lay is 3 tiles high.
