4.4 Typical Cycle
Operation
The Basil 5700LSR Cage and Rack Washer is pre-programmed with
five processing cycles and is capable of retaining up to six addi-
tional cycles. Each one of these additional cycles can be custom-
ized to include up to seven different treatments. For instructions on
programming, refer to S
ECTION 5, CYCLE AND CONTROL VALUE PRO-
GRAMMING.
There are also two pre-programmed cycles for special purposes: a
VHP cycle (Option) and a DESCALER cycle.
IMPORTANT: When VHP cycle (option) is present there are only five
cycles available for custom needs.
VHP cycle (Option) is used for biodecontamination purposes, refer
to S
ECTION 4.5, VHP CYCLE (OPTION).
DESCALER cycle is used for cleaning purposes, refer to S
ECTION
6.3, DESCALER CYCLE.
The following cycle description is based on pre-programmed PRI-
MATES cycle. See Table 5-1, C
YCLE DESCRIPTION CHART, for default
treatment values of PRIMATES cycle.
1. Once washer is properly loaded as explained in S
ECTION 4.3,

OW TO LOAD ACCESSORIES, close doors.
2. In Mode Selection screen, press DOORS CONTROL touch pad;
then, press DOOR CLOSE touch pad to close doors.
3. Press X touch pad until Mode Selection screen appears.
4. In Mode Selection screen, press AUTOMATIC touch pad. Con-
trol advances to Cycle Selection screen.
5. In Cycle Selection screen, select a cycle from displayed menu or
press RIGHT arrow touch pad to access more cycle menus.
Use LEFT arrow touch pad to return to previous screen.
6. When desired cycle is selected, display shows name of selected
cycle. Press START CYCLE touch pad. Selected cycle screen
remains displayed during a safety delay.
7. After safety delay has elapsed, washer automatically progresses
through the following programmed treatments:
NOTE: For cycle processing sequence, note the following:
1) Washer operation can be interrupted at any time by pressing
STOP touch pad. To resume cycle, press RESUME CYCLE
touch pad. To abort cycle, press ABORT CYCLE touch pad.
2) After washer operation has been interrupted, a 60-second
delay prevents doors from opening before it is safe to do so.
Operator must wait until the end of the delay before opening
doors.
3) If unit fails or if any abnormal condition occurs during a cycle,
refer to S
ECTION 7, TROUBLESHOOTING, to identify the possible
cause and corrective action.
• Pre-Wash: Water from tank 2 is sprayed over load then sent
directly to drain (or to Drain Cooldown Tank with water injec-
tion if option is present). Pre-wash is non-recirculated.
