4.13 Power Failure If a power failure occurs and there is no accessory rack in washer,
when power is restored display shows Mode Selection screen. If a
cycle was in progress, this one should be restarted from the begin-
ning. See S
ECTION 4.13.2, RESUMING CYCLE AFTER A POWER FAILURE.
If power failure occurs when doors are closing or opening, doors will
stop action and will open or close slowly.
4.13.1 Opening Doors During
a Power Failure
If it is necessary to open doors during a power failure, wear appro-
priate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as waterproof
gloves, eye protection and apron and proceed as follows:
1. Lock building electrical supply disconnect switch in OFF
position.
2. Press Emergency Stop pushbutton.
3. Enter service area and pull safety latch (located on door counter-
weight guide) door will open slowly.
4. Unload accessories from chamber.
NOTE: If operator is inside wash chamber during a power failure,
and door closes, it is also possible to open door chamber (refer to
S
ECTION 4.14, OPENING DOORS AFTER EMERGENCY FEATURES
WERE ACTIVATED).
5. Unlock building electrical supply disconnect switch and place in
ON position.
6. Place Safety latch into vertical position.
7. When power is restored, accessories must be reprocessed
through a complete cycle. See S
ECTION 4.13.2, RESUMING CYCLE
AFTER A POWER FAILURE, for procedure on how to restart a cycle.
4.13.2 Resuming Cycle After
a Power Failure
If power failure occurs when unit has not completed a cycle, once
power is restored, reinitialize washer as follows:
1. Turn LOCK/UNLOCK/INIT key switch (located on load control
panel and unload side control panel) to INIT position. Display
shows Mode Selection screen.
IMPORTANT: If Safety latch was raised, return Safety latch into
position before initializing washer.
2. Start cycle from the beginning.
WARNING – PERSONAL
INJURY HAZARD:
Always verify flap door sill
is down before entering
wash chamber.
If cycle has not been com-
pleted, contaminated
debris or water may remain
in the bottom of wash
chamber.
