The connection is made via plug connector X23 on the digital inputs I05 … I08.
The exact pin assignment depends on the encoder type and is shown in the connecting plan of
the programming interface.
Note: When using HTL-encoders please bear in mind that the tracks A+ and B+ or A- and B-
must be combined accordingly.
