The navigation satellites currently avail-
able are shown in the bottom right corner.
If route guidance is already active, the cur-
rent destination address is displayed in the
bottom line.
To cancel route guidance, push the rotary
control/push button downwards and then
press the rotary control/push button.
In the main menu the route guidance can
also be canceled by pressing the
button.
Using the input menu
Some applications require input using the
input menu.
The characters input using the input
menu are displayed in the top line of text.
The middle section is used for character
entry. The bottom section can display a
list of all cities corresponding to the letters
entered so far when entering a city, for ex-
ample.
Entering characters
Characters are input by selecting them
with the rotary control/push button.
When a navigation destination is entered,
the Becker® MAP PILOT compares the
data with the stored data.
Only those letters that are still possible are
available for selection.
If you have selected enough letters, a list
automatically appears. Select the desired
entry from the list using the rotary con-
trol/push button.

Note:
The input menus that are not used for
destination input are locked when your
vehicle is traveling at a speed in excess of
3 mph. If you are currently in such an in-
put menu, a message indicating that the
menu has been locked will be displayed.
The menus are enabled again when the
speed falls below 2 mph.
Note:
Pressing the button deletes the last
character entered.
A space is entered when the underscore
character (_) is selected in the input
menu.
