Safety message hierarchy
This manual uses the following types of
safety messages to draw your attention to
important safety and other information
for use of the Becker® MAP PILOT.
Please review the symbols and content of
the boxes below. The information in the
DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION
and NOTICE boxes describes the poten-
tial consequence associated with disre-
garding the messages throughout the
manual. The information in the NOTE
boxes relates to use of the Becker® MAP
PILOT.
DANGER
The warnings contain safety information
regarding hazardous situations, which if
not avoided, will result in death or seri-
ous injury.
WARNING
These warnings contain safety informa-
tion regarding hazardous situations
which, if not avoided, could result in
death or serious injury.
CAUTION
These warnings contain safety informa-
tion regarding hazardous situations
which, if not avoided, could result in mi-
nor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
These warnings contain information re-
garding items or situations which may
cause damage to the unit or vehicle if dis-
regarded, information regarding unit
warranties and/or information pertinent
to traffic laws.

of the unit.
