11.2 Lubricants
Thesystem isdesigned for commercialgreases uptoNLGI class2.
· Use lubricant withhigh pressureadditives.
· Use only lubricantswith thesame saponification.
· Do not uselubricants withsolid contents (lubricantslike graphite orMoS2 ondemand).
11.3 Lubricant filling
Take care of utmost cleanness when filling the pump. Fill in only clean lubricant. If dirt comes into
the pump, the pistons of the pump element could abrade and hence damage the pump elements.
Dirtin thelubrication system canblock linesorthe progressivedistributor.
· Fill up thereservoir viathe filling nippleor the fillingconnection
· Observe the lubricant details of the machine manufacturer. Use only lubricant according to the specification of the
machinemanufacturer.
· Collect leaking lubricantin asuitable reservoir anddispose it professional.
· Observe the datasheet ofthelubricant manufacturer.
· Observe that visicosityof lubricantchanges with operatingtemperature.
You receive the PICO pump witha basic filling. If the basic filling is missing, for example in case you
want touse another lubricantwith another type of saponification, observe the procedure for the first
fillingas describedin 11.3.1.
Otherfillings (basicfilling available) canbe doneasdesribed inchapter 11.3.2 „fillingofthe pump“.
