Installation Checklist
Following are the steps needed to install a PL-6000DC/DCX Lift. Perform them in the order shown.
☐ 1. Review the installation Safety rules.
☐ 2. Make sure you have the necessary Tools.
☐ 3. Plan for electrical work.
☐ 4. Select the installation Location.
☐ 5. Checking clearances.
☐ 6. Unload and unpack the Lift Components.
☐ 7. Review the installation orientation.
☐ 8. Create Chalk Line Guides for the Posts.
☐ 9. Move and Prepare the Lift Posts.
☐ 10. Anchoring the Powerside Post.
☐ 11. Attach the Side Beams, Back Plate and Connection Rods.
☐ 12. Route and attach the Balance Chain.
☐ 13. Connecting the Safety Lock Release – Lift Carriages.
☐ 14. Installing the Lift Cylinder and Lift Chain.
☐ 15. Install the Power Unit.
☐ 16. About Thread Sealants.
☐ 17. Install the Safety Lock Release Angle.
☐ 18. Installing the Control Arm.
☐ 19. Connect the Safety Lock Release Cable.
☐ 20. Installing the Lift Platform Plates and Ramp.
☐ 21. Contact an Electrician.
☐ 22. Install the Safety Lock Release Angle.
☐ 23. Install the Power Disconnect and Thermal Disconnect (if required). (Electrician Required).
☐ 24. Connect to Power (Electrician Required).
☐ 25. Wire the Junction Box (Electrician Required).
☐ 26. First Operational Test and Level Adjustment.
☐ 27. Adjusting the Safety Locks and Safety Release.
☐ 28. Adjusting the Limit Switch.
☐ 29. Drill the Offside Post Anchors and Attach the Front Supports.
☐ 30. Lubricate the Lift.
☐ 31. Perform an Operational Test.
☐ 32. Review the Final Checklist.
☐ 33. Leave the Manual for the Lift Owner/Operator.
