Troubleshooting
This section describes how to troubleshoot your Lift.
Note: If your Lift is not functioning correctly, you must take it out of service until it is fixed.
Important: All repair work must be done by qualified personnel. If you are having issues, take
the Lift out of service, then contact your dealer, visit bendpak.com/support,
email support@bendpak.com, or call (800) 253-2363, follow the prompts to
reach support.
WARNING The Lift uses electrical energy; if your organization has Lockout/Tagout policies,
implement them before performing any maintenance or troubleshooting.
Problem Possible cause Solution
Motor runs, but Lift
Platform does not move
or moves very slowly.
The motor is rotating in the
wrong direction.
3-Phase power only. Reconnect
main power supply by swapping
two power leads to reverse the
magnetic field.
Insufficient or no Hydraulic Oil in
the reservoir.
Refill Hydraulic Oil reservoir.
Hydraulic Oil intake broken.
Repair/Replace oil intake pipe.
Broken Coupling.
Replace coupling.
Blocked inlet Filter.
Clean or replace Oil Filter
Solenoid Valve element is
blocked.
Clean or replace Solenoid Valve.
Solenoid Valve Seal failure.
Clean or replace Solenoid Valve.
Hydraulic Gear Pump is worn or
broken.
Replace Hydraulic Power Unit.
Cylinder worn or damaged.
Replace the Cylinder.
Hydraulic Fluid dirty.
Replace the Hydraulic Oil.
Oil temperature in Reservoir is
out of the normal range.
Allow Hydraulic Oil to cool to
room temperature.
