Class I, ILeak, alternative leakage current measurement

Insert the shock-proof plug of the portable test sample into the
test socket of the appliance tester.
The testing voltage is applied and must be tested in all switch
positions (device functions).
Use the test probe to scan all accessible conductive parts.
If the measured value of the alternative leakage current
measurement exceeds 1 mA, the direct current measurement
must be carried out.
Measurement
Make sure that the test sample is free of mains voltage.
Connect the mains plug of the test sample to the test socket of
the appliance tester.
Select a measuring
method.
Direct / differential current
measuring method
Alternative leakage current
measurement
Tap the “Start button.
Tap the “Start button.
Use the test probe to scan all
of the following parts of the test
sample:
o Active parts,
o Accessible conductive parts
connected to the housing.
Use the test probe to scan all
of the following parts of the test
sample:
o Active parts,
o Accessible conductive parts
connected to the housing.
Tap the L<->N” button.
Use the test probe again to
scan all of the following parts of
the test sample:
o Active parts,
o Accessible conductive parts
connected to the housing.
Tap the “Stop” button to stop the test.
The “Test result” screen opens.
