3 Choose one:
4 Maintain in-trim airspeed until the start of the
approach.
5 Use an airspeed which results in an in-trim
condition. This will reduce the force that is needed
to move the stabilizer.
6 Continue to trim manually for the rest of the flight.
7 Establish the landing configuration early.

8 Anticipate higher than normal elevator forces
during approach and landing.
9 The thrust reduction at flare will cause a nose down
pitch.
10 Plan a flaps 15 landing.
11 Set VREF 15.
12 Check the Non–Normal Configuration Landing
Distance table in the Advisory Information section
of the Performance Inflight chapter.
