51.4 Keypad Issues
Problem Cause Solution
I entered the Move to Area
function ([#] + [5] + [0]) at my
keypad, but it will not let me
move to another area.
• The User’s Authority Level does not
permit use of the Move to Area function.
• There are no zones assigned to a
particular Area.
• Program at least one zone and assign it to an
Area. The Move to Area function should work
as defined.
• Set the user’s Authority Level to permit use of
the Move to Area function (contact Bosch
Security Systems Technical Service for
assistance).
I have a tamper trouble on a
zone that I cannot clear by
entering the Installer PIN and
then pressing the [System Reset]
key.
The zone is bypassed. Press the [Bypass] key to manually unbypass the
zone. Then enter the Installer’s PIN. Then press
the [System Reset] key.

strange characters and I
cannot read it.
The settings for the DX4010 RS-232 Serial
Interface Module may cause unexpected
printer output.
See “Data Bus Device Configuration” on page 120.
Verify the settings for the following parameters:
• “DX4010 Output Configuration” (Address 1253)
• “Baud Rate Configuration” (Address 1254)
• “Parity/Flow Control/Stop Bit Configuration”
(Address 1255).
