Table 16: User Configuration Addresses & Defaults (cont.)
User 28 is the Guard Code User. See Section 34.8 Guard Code Options on page 85 for more information.
User 32 is the default Duress User. See Section 34.5 Duress Reporting Options on page 83 for more information.
32.1 PIN, User #
• Address: See Table 16
• Default: See Table 16
• Selections: 0-9
32.1.1 Parameter Description
Use the PIN parameter to enter a PIN for each user. The PIN length parameter determines the number of digits in the PINs.
The default PIN for User 1 is 1234. The default Installer PIN is 7890.
• If the PIN length is increased to five digits, the default User 1 PIN becomes 12340; the default Installer PIN becomes 78900
• If six digits are selected, the default User 1 PIN becomes 123400; the default Installer PIN becomes 789000
• If seven digits are selected (maximum number), the default User 1 PIN becomes 1234000; the default Installer PIN becomes
7890000
Do not use digits 10-15 when creating a User PIN. Entering these digits makes the PIN unusable and locks the
user out of the panel.
If the User 1 PIN is left at its factory default, the panel generates a System Trouble event as set in the Date
Format and Enable PIN Trouble parameter (see page 44). Make sure to change the default value. This event is
Local Only and is stored in the history buffer.
The Date Format and Enable PIN Trouble feature is disabled by default.
