7.3.2 Inside-reservoir installation
NOTICE
Risk ofdamage with inside-reservoir installation!
To prevent damage tothe axial piston unit, all plastic parts (e.g. protective plugs,
covers), except for thetamper-proof caps, must beremoved prior toinstallation
inthe reservoir.
▶ Remove all plastic parts, except for thetamper-proof caps, before you install
theaxial piston unit inthe reservoir. Make sure that noparts ofthem remain
inthe reservoir.
▶ Remove theprotective plug from thesuction portS and open atleast one T
and/or L port.
Inside-reservoir installation iswhen theaxial piston unit isinstalled inthe
reservoir below theminimum fluid level. The axial piston unit iscompletely below
thehydraulic fluid.
Iftheminimum fluid level isequal toor below theupper edge ofthepump,
seechapter 7.3.3 "Above-reservoir installation" onpage34.
Axial piston units with electric components (e.g. electric controls, sensors)
mustnot beinstalled inareservoir below thefluid level.
We recommend fitting a suction pipe to the suction portS and fitting a pipe to
the drain port L

. Inthis case,
the other leakage ports must beplugged. The housing oftheaxial piston unit
must befilled before fitting thepiping and filling thereservoir with hydraulicfluid.
To prevent draining of the housing, the reservoir has to be filled with
hydraulicfluid as quickly as possible.
