28/68 Installation
Bosch Rexroth AG, A20V(L)O Series 1, RE 93100-01-B/2019-09-10
7 Installation
Prior toinstallation, thefollowing documents should betohand:
• Installation drawing for theaxial piston unit (can beobtained from your contact
person atBoschRexroth)
• Hydraulic circuit diagram for theaxial piston unit (in theinstallation drawing)
• Hydraulic circuit diagram for themachine/system (available from themachine/
system manufacturer upon request)
• Order confirmation (contains theorder-related technical data for your
axialpistonunit)
• of the axial piston unit (contains the permissible technical data)
7.1 Unpacking
The axial piston unit comes inapolyethylene material (PE) corrosion protection film.
CAUTION! Danger due tofalling parts!
Ifthepackaging isnot opened correctly, parts may fall out and damage theparts
oreven result ininjury.
▶ Place thepackaging ona level surface with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
▶ Only open thepackaging from thetop.
▶ Remove thepackaging from theaxial piston unit.
▶ Check theaxial piston unit for transport damage and completeness; see chapter4
"Scope ofdelivery" onpage19.
▶ Dispose ofthepackaging inaccordance with theregulations inyour country.
7.2 Installation conditions
The installation position and location oftheaxial piston unit essentially determine
how itisinstalled and commissioned (such aswhen filling and air bleeding
theaxialpiston unit).
▶ Fasten theaxial piston unit sothat theexpected forces and torque can
betransferred without any danger. The machine/system manufacturer
isresponsible for sizing thefasteners.
▶ Observe thepermissible radial forces onthe drive shaft when driving with radial
loading (belt drives). If necessary, store thebelt pulley separately.
▶ Make sure theaxial piston unit isalways filled with hydraulic fluid during
commissioning and operation. Also do this also after relatively long standstill
periods, since theaxial piston unit may drain out through thehydraulic lines.
▶ Direct theleakage inthe housing area tothe reservoir through thehighest
drainport. Use aline size that matches theport.
▶ A check valve inthe drain line isonly permissible ona case-by-case
basis following consultation. Please consult your proper contact person
atBoschRexroth.
▶ To keep noise values low, use elastic elements toisolate all connecting lines from
all vibration-capable components (e.g. reservoir).
▶ Make sure thesuction, drain, and return lines flow into thereservoir below
theminimum fluid level under all operating conditions. This will prevent air from
being drawn inand foam from forming.
